Newcastle singer Jodie Elliott started singing around 6 years ago when she entered TeenStar UK and met vocal coach Julie Miles. She has been seriously hooked ever since, consistently developing her voice and nurturing a head turning unique tone.
Performing has become a huge part of Jodie’s life at an array of gigs and competitions. After being a regular in reaching both TeenStar UK & OpenMic UK semi-finals, In 2019 she successfully made it through to the grand final of OpenMic Uk competition at the O2 arena in London.
Whilst a very strong solo singer, for 2 years she was also a member of a girl band Melody 5. Jodie and the 4 girls performed at some big venues all over the UK. One of the most memorable being the festival for girl guides “Wellies and Wristbands” in Southampton to a crowd of thousands.
In addition to supporting some great local artists at some impressive venues, Jodie is also a regular busker on the streets of Newcastle. Last year video footage of her breath-taking cover ‘All I Want’ by Kodaline was sought out and showcased by the coveted “Music Crowns”, it went viral with over 500k views and was also selected to feature on their page.
Jodie loves nothing more to put her talent to good use in supporting charities, recently singing at NE Youth’s International Women’s Day and a wellbeing event for young girls coinciding with World Mental Health Day.
Singing will feature heavily for Jodie in 2021 with a continuation of charity work and also future work on producing some original music to release.
